Where to make a free website: four options side by side

There are several free plans, and they differ more than it first seems. Some put a live page online straight away, but with a long address and someone else’s ads. Others give you a proper mock, but publishing costs money. Here’s the gist in one table.

You need a completely free live page

Go with Google Sites. No ads, and the page is online straight away. The address is long, and you do the text, photos and layout yourself. For enquiries, add a Google Form.

You want to drag blocks around yourself

Go with Wix or Weebly. You can fine-tune the design a lot, but the free plan shows their branding or ads, and your own domain needs a paid plan.

You want the page to come from your description

Go with Odav Koduleht. Describe the business in a few sentences and a mock with copy and a form is ready in about a minute. The mock is free; going live with your own domain, hosting and SSL costs €6 a month.

Getting your free website

  1. Sign up, no card

    Use your email or your Google account. Once the address is confirmed, you have 15 credits and the editor is open. Nobody asks about a card.

  2. Tell it about your business

    One paragraph is enough: who you are, where you work, what you offer. A build costs 5 credits, so 15 covers a full page plus ten edits. Or three different attempts, if you'd like to compare.

  3. Go live when you're happy with it

    On Free the page stays off the public internet and the mock waits in your dashboard. For a real address, take Start at €6 a month, with your own domain or a platform subdomain. Pro at €19 a month adds analytics and extra languages.

What's free here, and what isn't

Signing up, the free credits and the chat where you edit your page cost nothing. The only paid part is a public address for real visitors, and that comes with Start or Pro.
Start gives you the address
Start is €6 a month: 200 credits and your own domain or an address like your-name.odavkoduleht.ee. Pro is €19 a month, with 500 credits, analytics and extra languages.
One account, one site
We don't hand out ten free live pages, and that's on purpose: it keeps spam away and the pages fast. On Start you can order your site's files, which takes 1–3 business days.

Where can I make a completely free website?

Google Sites, Wix and Weebly all give you a live page for free. Google Sites has no ads; free Wix and Weebly pages show their branding or ads. All three put you on an address under their own domain, and you write the text yourself. Here you get a free mock: the AI does the copy and design, and the page goes live on Start for €6 a month.

Will a free website have ads?

It depends on the service. Free Wix and Weebly pages show their branding or ads; Google Sites doesn’t. On our Free plan the page isn’t published. Start and Pro have no ads, just a small “Created by Odav Koduleht” line in the footer.

Is a free website good enough for a business?

For trying things out, yes. Clients care about your own domain, a working form and a decent view on a phone. Free plans usually come with a long address carrying someone else’s name, so most businesses move to a paid plan sooner or later. Then count the whole year: Start here is €72 a year including hosting and SSL.

Will the free website stay forever?

The mock will. It stays in your dashboard for as long as your account exists. A public address is different: for that you need Start (€6/month) or Pro (€19/month).

Do I need a card for the free website?

No. Not when you sign up, and not while you spend the 15 credits. A card only comes up when you decide to take a paid plan.

How many free websites can I make?

One. The 15 credits go into building and editing that one site, not into ten separate live addresses.

What do 15 credits actually get me?

A full page (5 credits) plus ten edits. Or three separate builds if you'd rather compare versions. When the credits run out, choose Start or Pro, or write to us from the dashboard.

What if I never pay?

Nothing bad happens. The mock stays in your dashboard; the public page just doesn't go live, or goes offline when your plan ends. The live site runs on our platform, and on Start you can order its files, which takes 1–3 business days.
