Domeen, hosting ja ligipääsud: kelle nimele need peaksid jääma?

You've ordered a beautiful website. A year later, you want to make a small change or switch partners — and it turns out you don't have a single access credential. Even worse: the domain and hosting are registered under the developer's name.
Now you have to negotiate or pay extra to get your own site back. This is a common scenario — but it's entirely avoidable.
Register your domain under YOUR name
Your domain (e.g. yourcompany.ee) is your brand's digital address. It should never be registered under a developer's name.
Register it yourself with a provider (like Zone.ee or Veebimajutus.ee). Give the developer technical admin rights — but the legal owner is you.
Hosting — have your own account
Hosting is the plot of land your website sits on. If a developer offers hosting on their own server, it seems convenient, but it creates a dependency.
Your own hosting account guarantees access to files and backups. When you end the partnership, you just change the passwords and move on.
Demand these accesses once the project is done
- Domain administrator rights (Zone, Veebimajutus, etc.)
- Hosting and database access
- CMS admin credentials
- Google Analytics and Search Console with owner-level access (not just a viewer role)
We never register clients' domains or hosting under our own name. We help set up accounts under your name or your company's name and configure everything securely. You're the owner — we're the helpers.
